Bio
Gerhardt Smith is a medical interpreter whose experience has been in technical writing, translations and extensive work in analytical chemistry.
Mr. Smith began his career at Armco Research, where his expertise was in instrumental and classical chemical analysis. He was promoted to Master Research Technician in 1991 and received a Special Recognition Award for implementing a chemical method for the quantitative determination of total and metallic chromium. He later was co-developer of a new improved chemical pickling procedure and received a Technical Achievement Award. He was promoted to associate chemist in 1996 and chemist in 1999.
Smith is listed as a certifying analyst for several nationally used standard reference materials produced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and has translated and interpreted for Ohio governmental agencies.
