Bio

Dr. Stephen Wilson is an Assistant Professor of Medicine-Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati, in the Divisions of General Internal Medicine and General and Community Pediatrics. Dr. Wilson earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University. After working for 3 years in the petrochemical industry, Dr. Wilson returned to Ohio State and completed his MD degree in 1998. Dr. Wilson completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Upon completion of his clinical training, Dr. Wilson completed a combined fellowship in Outcomes Research and Children's Environmental Health. As part of this training, Dr. Wilson completed a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health in June 2004.

Dr. Wilson's research interest focuses on and racial differences in exposure to environmental toxicants. Recently, his research efforts have focused on racial differences in exposure to environmental tobacco smoke. He was awarded a Dean's Scholar Award for Clinical Research from the University of Cincinnati to explore racial differences in pre-cancerous compounds known as DNA adducts. Dr. Wilson is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
