Overview
The Center for Growth Disorders at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a section within the Pediatric Endocrinology Division devoted to the evaluation, diagnosis and management of children and adolescents with growth disorders. Goals and objectives of the center are to:
- Provide comprehensive care for children with growth disorders
- Develop and implement new therapies for growth disorders
- Provide education for health care professionals regarding growth and development
- Develop new tools and strategies for the diagnosis of growth disorders
- Increase understanding of the pathophysiology of growth disorders through basic and clinical research
Turner Syndrome Clinic
The Turner Syndrome Clinic at Cincinnati Children's is a multi-specialty clinic for children, adolescents and young adults with Turner syndrome (TS). Our goals and objectives are to:
- Provide comprehensive medical care and health supervision for TS patients
- Offer an integrated approach to the treatment of TS-associated disorders through a multi-specialty team
- Provide anticipatory guidance and management of learning disorders in TS patients
- Facilitate contact between families of TS patients and schools
- Provide education for families and health care personnel
- Provide prenatal counseling
Turner syndrome involves a number of related areas including: endocrinology, genetics, cardiology, developmental disorders, and psychology.
