Bio
Enkhsaikhan Purejav's, MD, PhD research will be focused on screening the potential genes responsible for inherited and acquired cardiac diseases and performing functional studies of mutations in these genes by creating in vitro and in vivo models. In addition, he will investigate the effects of factors such as viral infections, drugs including ACE inhibitors and beta-blockers, and mechanical stress (cyclic mechanical stretch, acute and chronic exercise) on cardiac function in these models.

Research
Enkhsaikhan Purejav's, MD, PhD research interest is focused in studying how genetic abnormalities contribute to the cardiac disease in humans and understanding of the mechanisms of these diseases. Specifically, he will focus on studying roles of mutations in structural proteins that make up the heart in cardiac mechanosensing and remodeling and their roles in the development of cardiac diseases including cardiomyopathies.
