Neonatal Cardiac Care
The division has a particular focus on complete correction of defects in the newborn period, and management of complex single ventricle cardiac defects.
Under the direction of Peter Manning, MD, the division performs nearly 400 cardiac operations per year, with approximately 250 of those open-heart surgeries. Approximately 25 percent of the patients treated by the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery are under a month of age and 60 percent are under one year of age.
