Lipid Clinic
The Lipid Clinic, part of the Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, offers comprehensive services including consultation, diagnostic testing and treatment of dyslipidemia (abnormalities in cholesterol).
Among the services offered are:
- Diagnosis and treatment of disorders of cholesterol
- Screening for co-exisiting hypertension, risk for diabetes and lifestyle- or obesity-related target organ damage
- Nutritional education to teach families how to reduce dietary fat and cholesterol
- Three-day diet recall for computerized evaluation of dietary composition
Education on approaches to dietary management of dyslipidemias by our registered dieticians from the Lipid Clinic at Cincinnati Children's are offered at our Burnet Campus.
