Why Choose Cincinnati Children's Heart Center?
Outstanding Outcomes Offer Hope For the Future
The Heart Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is committed to improving the quality of life for every child.
Our skilled physicians, coupled with access to state-of-the-art technology, enable us to correct cardiac problems very early. In fact, one in four surgeries at The Heart center is performed on newborns under one month of age. Nearly three in four surgical patients are under one year of age. We achieve high survival rates and outstanding outcomes even with the most challenging cases.
Although we are proud of these results that are better than or comparable to other top centers, we constantly strive to improve our results through new technology and research applications. Our emphasis on seeking early diagnosis and treatment, and our focus on preventive measures, offers even the youngest patients greater promise for the future.
The Heart Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate and respectful care to every patient and family. The Heart Center's advanced practice nurses and patient-family advocates offer individualized care and attention and help facilitate communications with physicians and other caregivers. Centralized, integrated scheduling of visits, tests and other arrangements allows families to effectively utilize their time so they can focus on the care of their child. Patients and family are also extended an invitation to Hopeful Heart for Children, a Cincinnati-based, family-driven support group.
