Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic
As a part of the interdisciplinary Heart Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Division of Cardiology offers comprehensive service to patients suspected of having or diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. This includes consultation, extensive diagnostic testing and long-term treatment and follow-up. Diagnostic testing may include electrocardiograms (ECGs), chest x-rays, echocardiography, 6-minute walk test and comprehensive cardiac catheterizations.
The comprehensive multi-disciplinary team comprises dedicated physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists and nutritionists, and provides access to any other services that may be required in the evaluation of patients with pulmonary hypertension. The Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic has particular interest in infants with congenital diaphragmatic hernias (CDH) and resulting pulmonary hypertension. The Division is also involved with multi-center therapeutic trials that bring state-of the art therapeutic options to patients with pulmonary hypertension.
