The Heart Center Cardiology Clinic
Location C: Fourth floor, Treatment Center 7
Phone: 513-636-7282
The Heart Center physicians see patients and families in the Cardiology Clinic at the main campus of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and at a variety of Outpatient Centers throughout the Tristate. Clinic hours at the main hospital location are 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. The clinic is closed on weekends and holidays. Clinic dates and locations vary, and can be discussed when calling to schedule an appointment. Call the above number to make an appointment, schedule a test or to speak with your child's doctor, nurse or advocate. It is important to remember that voicemail messages are only answered during office hours and will be responded to within a few hours. Do not leave a message if you need to speak with someone right away. If your call is urgent, or if you need to speak to someone regarding your child after hours, call the Cincinnati Children's operator at 513-636-4200 or 1-800-344-2462 and ask for the cardiology fellow on call to be paged. In the event of a medical emergency, dial 911.
When you have a prescription that needs to be refilled, leave a voicemail message with the following information:
- Your child's name (with correct spelling) and date of birth
- Your phone number
- Name and dose of medication(s) that need refilling
- Name of the doctor who prescribed the medication
- Phone number and name of the pharmacy where the medication needs to be refilled
Also, please remember:
- Call the clinic before 3 pm for a prescription that needs a refill to be called in to a pharmacy that same day
- Most pharmacies need at least 24 hours notice to fill a prescription
Continuity of care and follow-up with your cardiologist are important to us. Each physician has an outpatient clinical care team that includes a nurse and patient / family advocate to help provide consistent care and give you contact information. You will be given the names and contact numbers of your child's outpatient clinical care team at your first clinic visit.
