The Heart Center Patients and Families Share Experiences

The Heart Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is changing the outcomes for our heart patients and their families. As part of our belief in the compassionate, respectful family-centered care of every patient and family, we understand that the best reassurance and support for our families comes from stories shared by other families in similar situations.

Here are some stories of Cincinnati Children's Heart Center patients and their families.

	Matthew has suffered from severe sleep apnea since he was 6 years old.		HealthWorks! helped Brittany win the battle against obesity.
	In April 2004, heart surgery gave Fatma a second chance.		Dayla Porter was diagnosed with tetralogy of Fallot and pulmonary atresia shortly after birth.
	When he was just three days old, Matthew underwent a cardiac catheterization.
