Home Care Pharmacy
Home Care Pharmacy from Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a team of pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians with vast pediatric experience with patients in the hospital and in the ambulatory setting. The pharmacy team works with home care and hospice nurses and therapists to provide infusions, sterile irrigations and specialty products to patients at home.
Medications
When your child is a patient with Home Care, a pharmacist or certified pharmacy technician will contact you to arrange for delivery of medications and necessary supplies. Delivery is usually before noon on the day that you will need the medications. Medications and supplies are delivered to your home by a courier service contracted by Home Care.
When you are contacted by Home Care Pharmacy staff, you will be asked if you have questions about your child's therapy. You will also be asked to supply a complete listing of all of the medications that your child is taking. This will help the pharmacist review your child's medication history for therapeutic duplications as well as drug interactions.

The Home Care Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. The pharmacist is available for questions at any time.
After hours, there is a pharmacist on call for questions and supply issues. Please page the pharmacist through the Cincinnati Children's operator at 513-636-4200 and ask for the Home Care pharmacist on call.
