Kudos

"They are just the nicest people ever."
The Larkin children, including Jozsef and Emese who were adopted from Romania.

"They are just the nicest people ever." This sentiment is repeated over and over when International Adoption Center (IAC) staff and volunteers are asked about Bob and Jane Larkin.

When Bob and Jane adopted Jozsef and Emese from Romania at the age of 2, the IAC had just begun. They were fortunate to find Mary Allen Staat, MD, MPH, who gave them pre- and post-adoption advice. With Bob's help, Dr. Staat was able to start the IAC and guide it to a stable financial situation. Bob was the first IAC Advisory Board president and served in that capacity for three years. Jane is active with the Passport to Forever luncheon and has been in charge of our young models backstage for the last five years. Jane also shares her experience with other parents at the IAC's Parents Helping Parents support group.

In addition to Jozsef and Emese, the Larkins have three biological children — Sean, Kerry and Brian. Kudos to Bob and Jane Larkin for their efforts in making the IAC what it is today.
