Gifts and Room Decorations
You will want to cheer up your child while he or she is staying in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and friends also want you to know they are thinking of you. Good ideas for gifts and decorations include:
- Stuffed animals (2 or 3)
Your child's favorites may be more comforting than new ones - Mylar balloons (2 or 3)
Latex balloons are not permitted in the hospital - Artificial flowers
Plants and cut flowers are not permitted in the PICU because they can carry germs - Favorite videotapes or cassettes
- Pictures of family, pets and other favorite things
