The Kelly O'Leary Center monitors and evaluates its programs and services to offer the most exciting, dynamic and effective treatment services available.

Treatment services at the Kelly O'Leary Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center may feel a little different than the traditional model, and we hope so. The Kelly O'Leary Center is constantly monitoring and evaluating its programs and services to offer the most exciting, dynamic and effective treatment services available to children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Be prepared for something different!

The Kelly O'Leary Center has developed an innovative model of Individualized Programming to more effectively and efficiently serve children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In this model, families and therapists identify specific targeted areas of concern. At the end of each intervention period (up to 12 weeks), another treatment planning session is planned to identify next steps. These sessions identify learning that takes place in the clinic and learning that is targeted in the home environment. In addition, intensity and duration of services for that intervention period are determined.

The Individualized Programming model allows for a more dynamic multidisciplinary treatment approach that lets children move through differing levels of intensity and treatment types. For example, The Kelly O'Leary Center may be your child's primary source of direct therapeutic intervention or we may provide periodic treatment sessions for input and to monitor progress toward determined goals to be addressed in a home program. For individuals receiving therapy from community agencies, The Kelly O'Leary Center may be a resource for additional input to supplement current therapies. We are available to consult to help guide decisions in building an overall plan for intervention. We realize children and families have very different needs, and we want to partner with you in serving your child.

The Kelly O'Leary Center strives to provide treatment programs that are evidence-based, and we hope to balance the intensive needs of children with ASD with the need for more community training and accessibility to services. Intervention services are a long term commitment for families of children with ASD, and we realize that these needs vary throughout the life span.
