Overview
The faculty and staff at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center support breastfeeding as the optimal nutrition for infants. The members of the Cincinnati Center for Breastfeeding Medicine are committed to helping mothers successfully breastfeed longer.
The Center for Breastfeeding Medicine is a multidisciplinary effort headed by Medical Director Sheela Geraghty, MD, MS, IBCLC. Dr. Geraghty is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of General and Community Pediatrics and Center for Epidemiology and Biostatistics. The Center for Breastfeeding Medicine is also led by Letitia Hess, MS, RD, who is the Senior Clinical Director of the Division of Nutrition Therapy. Sarah Riddle, MD, IBCLC, is the Director of Clinical Services. Dr. Riddle is a staff physician in the Division of General and Community Pediatrics.
Clinical services are provided by Dr. Geraghty and Dr. Riddle who are both board certified pediatricians and board certified lactation consultants, as well as six nurse lactation consultants with diverse backgrounds in mother and infant care.
