Most of the livers that are transplanted at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center come from deceased organ donors; however, living family members may also be donors.

Based on the past 25 liver transplants at Cincinnat Children's, the number of patients transplanted with an organ from someone who has died (cadaver donor) is 23. The number of patients transplanted with an organ from a living donor is 2.
