FAO Research Studies Performed:
- LCHAD (long chain 3-hydroxy-acyl-CoA dehydrogenase) deficiency: Molecular analysis
- SCHAD (short chain 3-hydroxy-acyl-CoA dehydrogenase) deficiency: Molecular analysis by exonic amplification and direct DNA sequencing
- TFP (trifunctional protein) deficiency: Molecular analysis
- SCHAD, LCHAD, TFP, MCAD (medium chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase) and VLCAD (very long chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase): Western/immunoblot analysis of protein extracts from tissues or cell lines (e.g. fibroblasts)
