The Comprehensive Neuromuscular Care Initiative is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate and respectful care to every patient and family. Our team of experts -- from 15 subspecialties -- offers individualized care and attention. Plus, on-site facilities such as the Family Resource Center provide personal, comprehensive, up-to-date assistance. The Family Resource Center staff offers the most current information in response to questions related to diagnoses, medical conditions or procedures. If you would like assistance working with your child's school, the Family Resource Center can also help.

Continuing Follow-up Care
Our team provides continuing, lifelong consultative care for your child, including regular visits to maintain up-to-date care. Reports are provided to your child's primary care physician following each follow-up appointment.

Ongoing Research
The Comprehensive Neuromuscular Care Initiative at Cincinnati Children's conducts ongoing research -- made possible by funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
We have developed an interdisciplinary research program that involves the integration of clinical, translational and basic research strategies, focusing on novel therapeutic approaches to the treatment of neuromuscular disorders. As a result of this ongoing research, patients of Cincinnati Children's are among the first to benefit from new discoveries.
Our team of specialists are also participating in and organizing multisite clinical trials, working to identify improved therapies based on pathogenesis of neurmuscular disorders.
