Ear, Nose and Throat / ENT Research Activities
The Pediatric Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is fundamentally changing the way otolaryngology is studied and treated through our clinical and laboratory research.
Our clinical research centers on airway reconstruction and childhood hearing loss. In the laboratory, we concentrate on laryngeal cartilage development and the genetics of deafness.
Other areas of funded research encompass the causes of deafness, including cytomegalovirus (CMV) and functional neuroimaging of the central auditory system.
