What to Expect at Your Initial Visit
During your child's initial visit to the Limb Reconstruction Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a team of professionals with expertise in orthopaedic surgery, physical therapy, occupational therapy and prosthetics / orthotics will conduct an evaluation. This makes visits more productive for families. The evaluation may include:
- Consultation with team members
- X-rays
- Muscle testing
- Testing for sensory function, diaphragm involvement and skeletal structure
- Family input
