Conditions Treated
The Limb Deformity and Lengthening Service of the Orthopaedic Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center treats the following conditions:
- Congenital shortening of an extremity
- Blount's disease
- Limb deformity secondary to neurofibromatosis
- Tumorous conditions affecting growth and development of an extremity
- Arthritic conditions resulting in limb length inequality, deformity, or joint stiffness
- Growth disturbances of an extremity due to trauma to the growth plate, or infection involving the growth plate
- Both upper and lower extremity growth issues can be well addressed through this service
