Overview
The Limb Deformity and Lengthening Service of the Orthopaedic Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides comprehensive care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents with congenital or acquired limb deformity or limb length issues of the extremities.
Clinical evaluation is often supplemented with the latest diagnostic techniques, including conventional x-ray, CT scans, and MRI.
Mission
The mission of the Limb Deformity and Lengthening Service at Cincinnati Children's is to excel in:
- The evaluation and treatment of congenital and acquired limb deformity and lengthening issues in newborns, infants, children and adolescents
- Educating and training pediatricians, family practitioners and Orthopaedic surgeons, in the recognition and treatment of the spectrum of limb deformities and lengthening issues
- Research of current treatment regimens and development of new and improved management techniques, including non-operative and operative methods
