Spine Center Overview
The Spine Center at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers a first for this region – a multidisciplinary team of experts who collaborate in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric spinal disorders.
Patients receive an evaluation by multiple experts at one location and within two to three weeks of referral. These experts offer the complete spectrum of treatment, from conservative approaches to surgical reconstructive techniques using the latest technology, such as:
- Minimally invasive surgery
- Image-guided surgery
- Robot-assisted surgery
Alvin H. Crawford, MD, a world-renowned pediatric spine surgeon, is the director of the Spine Center. He has more than 30 years of experience treating spinal disorders in children. He also is considered one of the leading innovators in the field for his success in developing minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat children and young adults with these conditions.
