Adrick is a sports physical therapist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Sports Medicine Center, unique rehabilitation center that fosters a true sports medicine focus. In the Sports Medicine Center, they are able to treat children from ages eight to 18 years old and take referrals from the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cincinnati Children’s.

Here is what Adrick has to say about the opportunities of working at Cincinnati Children’s:

The Sports Medicine Center presents an enriched opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary sports medicine team, which consists of sports physical therapists, high-rated care sports medicine physicians, nurses, biomechanists, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning specialists, as well as world-renowned researchers.

Because of this dynamic environment, clinicians at the center are afforded flexibility to pursue individual career paths through growth and development opportunities in areas such as faculty positions, teaching opportunities, continuing education seminars and programs, community service projects as well as well-developed research projects at Cincinnati Children’s.

A tremendous benefit of working at the Sports Medicine Center is the experience of working in a high-level research environment. Through mentorship and guidance I have personally benefited by working on federally funded projects while simultaneously developing my own research initiatives, all while matriculating through my PhD program.

The opportunities at the Sports Medicine Center are endless. A clinician who enters our research program can participate in writing abstracts, publishing manuscripts, presenting data at regional and national seminars, as well as writing nationally funded grants. Inevitably, these layered opportunities provide an environment for continued professional growth and development. The communities we serve recognize these efforts as excellence in patient care and education.
