Aurora, an Occupational Therapist
Hear from Aurora
Watch Aurora and Rebecca, a speech pathologist, at work co-treating Aiden.
When Aurora was asked to tell us about her career here at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, she was so full of enthusiasm. "I really enjoy coming to work at Cincinnati Children's every day because I know that what I do truly makes a difference in the lives of the children I treat," she said. "We have so many options here in terms of the way we provide service. One aspect I really enjoy is co-treating with Speech Pathology because of the teaming involved as well as seeing such rapid progress with our patients."
Aurora is very involved in evidenced-bases practice and appreciates how Cincinnati Children's embraces research. "I love that Cincinnati Children's is always looking at providing improved service through evidence based practice. Our director is supportive of the evidence-based practice initiative, which I think is so important. I am currently leading the Autism Evidence-Based Practice Team, am a member of the Research Council and have had the opportunity to participate directly with a physician on a research project."
Aurora says that she really appreciates all of the opportunities she has at Children's and that the options are endless!
