Can My Child Benefit from Pediatric Palliative Care?
- Do you feel your child's treatment is becoming increasingly burdensome?
- Has there been a decline in your child's medical condition?
- Are your child's hospital stays becoming more frequent?
- Do you feel confused by the information you receive from your child's care providers?
- Are your child's pain and symptoms becoming difficult to manage?
If you have any one of these concerns, consulting the Pediatric Palliative and Comfort Care Team is an appropriate option for you and your child.
Even a child in a neonatal or pediatric acute care setting can benefit from the pain control and symptom management we offer. For example, we provide pain care for patients cared for by the Division of Hematology/Oncology while they are in the hospital, and for many at home.
