Bio
Dr. Alexandra Szabova joined the staff of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center on July 1, 2006. She has worked as a pediatric anesthesiologist, but also became a team member of the multidisciplinary chronic pediatric pain clinic.
Dr. Szabova demonstrated strong interest in pediatric chronic pain management during her training.
She graduated from a combined pediatric and adult chronic pain management fellowship which was a result of close collaboration between the Cincinnati Children's and Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Szabova received her medical degree from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Dr. Szabova completed her residency in Anesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH.
Dr. Szabova completed her combined pediatric and adult chronic pain management at Cincinnati Children's and Cleveland Clinic Foundation where is served as a chief fellow. She graduated with The Pain Fellow of the Year Award. Dr. Szabova completed pediatric anesthesia fellowship at the Cincinnati Children's.
Dr. Szabova's interests include chronic pediatric pain management, muskuloskeletal pain in children and adolescents, acute pain management of surgical and non surgical pediatric patients, regional nerve blocks, and pediatric anesthesia.
