Pain Management Mission
The Pain Management Division at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center was created to promote advocacy for children in pain, from whatever the cause, in all clinical settings. We treat painful conditions in infants, children and young adults. We appropriately collaborate among members of the Division and consult outside medical and surgical services to bring to bear resources and experience upon particularly challenging conditions.
The Pain Management Division is committed to furthering areas of knowledge relating to biological, psychological, pharmacological and sociological facets of pain in children and young adults. The Division promotes education of patients, families and health care workers and strives to raise societal awareness of the mechanisms, treatments and outcomes of pediatric pain disorders.
The Division of Pain Management strives to pursue this mission with the highest levels of intellectual and professional conduct and thought, without regard to monetary, personal, or political ends and without regard to gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation.
