Our Mission
The mission of the Division of Pharmacy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is to improve patient quality of life by assuming responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes and to provide educational and research programs that ensure delivery of the highest quality pharmaceutical care.
Our Vision for Comprehensive Patient Care
To meet the department mission of improving patient quality of life, the division is striving to provide pharmaceutical care services to all inpatient and ambulatory patients in the Cincinnati Children's health care system. Patients and family, physicians and other health care professionals will perceive our pharmaceutical care services as significantly improving patient outcomes.
Pharmacists will be the driving force behind provision of therapeutically sound and cost effective drug therapy to all patients receiving care through Cincinnati Children's. The medication distribution system will incorporate appropriate automation. Pharmacists will accept responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes through provision of drug therapy interventions, provision of drug information, pharmacokinetic recommendations and patient medication counseling.
