Overview
The Physician Services Department at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is designed to enhance communication between community-based physicians and Cincinnati Children's personnel.
The physician representatives meet with community pediatricians, family practitioners and surgeons on a regular basis to educate them on new services, staff members and/or policy changes. The representatives work with community physicians to determine the barriers to utilizing Cincinnati Children's services and attempt to identify and coordinate solutions.
The physician representatives offer additional services such as:
- coordinating tours of the Cincinnati Children's campus and/or satellites
- assisting in the acquisition of name badges
- arranging individual meetings between community physicians and Cincinnati Children's specialists and/or other key administrators
- providing assistance with recruitment efforts of physicians for community practices
