Outcomes

The College Hill Campus Residential Treatment Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides a safe and therapeutic environment for youth who are in need of a structured and consistent treatment program. The treatment staff utilizes an interactive, collaborative approach and continually focuses on family-centered care.

The youth that have participated in the program have experienced positive outcomes. Youth have shown dramatic improvement in functioning and have experienced measurable decreases in problem severity. On average, the youth, parents and therapists have witnessed improved outcomes.

* The Ohio Youth Problems, Functioning, and Satisfaction Scales (Ohio Scales) measure the clinical outcomes of children and adolescents who receive mental health services – including the severity of their condition, overall functioning and satisfaction.

How Ohio Scales Work: The youth patient, the patient's parent or caregiver, and the patient's health care provider each complete a 40-question survey form that asks questions about the patient's mental health condition. This information is then used to track the effectiveness of mental health interventions for youth.

Typical Stay

A typical stay is between one to 12 months, depending upon the individual needs of the youth.

The average length of stay is 120 days.
