Admission
Admission to the College Hill Campus residential treatment program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center requires certification prior to admission. The review for admission requires submission of the documentation that:
- The youth is currently exhibiting a persistent pattern of disruptive behavior.
- The behavior is so severe that the youth cannot be managed in a less restrictive environment, such as home.
- There are disturbances in age-appropriate behavior, adaptive and psychological function.
- The inability to function is the result of mental illness.
Many youth come to the residential program directly from an inpatient hospitalization while others come from less structured settings, such as a home, group home, therapeutic foster care or day programming.
