- Parents / Guardians will be treated with respect as valued members of the Treatment Team.
- We will offer ongoing support and education about your child's illness beginning at admission.
- With your permission, granted by signing a Release of Information Form, we will communicate effectively with outpatient providers and pediatricians involved in your child's ongoing treatment and care.
- We will provide timely access to your child's Treatment Team.
- We will provide one point of contact post-discharge for your follow-up and aftercare concerns.

The Division of Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center understands how overwhelmed families feel when your child has been admitted onto the psychiatric unit. Our goal is to make this experience as family-friendly as possible.
Volunteers from the Parent Advisory Committee have contributed to the information below in the hopes of helping your understanding, easing your anxiety and being a guide and support for your family.
