The multipurpose group room at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is used for educational, coping and relaxation groups. Mental Health Specialists provide direct patient care and lead many of the unit groups. Therapy addresses some of the following issues: peer relations, anger management, problem-solving, communication, relaxation, self-management, coping, decision-making, goal-setting, boundaries, self-expression, safety and social skills.

Patients also eat their meals here and enjoy free-time activities. There is a kitchen and families are welcome to bring in foods from home. Children can eat the food from home in the Group Room during evening snack time.
