The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC), located within Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, is the admission and evaluation center for all psychiatric services.

PIRC is dedicated to providing high-quality evaluations and access to mental health services across the entire continuum of care. Trained clinical specialists will assess all patients and determine the appropriate level of care based on their clinical presentation. The PIRC staff is available 24 hours a day and encourages anyone with mental health questions to call.

Services provided by the PIRC include:

All services are 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service provides the community with reliable, professional triage and assessment by licensed independent behavioral health clinicians, psychiatric residents and psychiatric attending physicians. Professional mental health assessments are completed by highly trained licensed clinicians with over 150 years of combined experience.
