Promote Interdisciplinary Clinical Research
The methodology core promotes synergistic interdisciplinary clinical research among persons and skill areas already in existence within the research base.
The methodology core has continued the work of the biostatistical and methodology core that was developed in previous cycles of the Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center (MCRC) in bringing together investigators from various departments and with various skills.
In addition, new research collaborations were formed with the Institute for Measurement at the University of Chicago and with the Divisions of Sports Medicine Biodynamics Center and Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, lead by Timothy E. Hewett, PhD, scientific director.
The methodology core continues to play an integral and extensive role in promotion of interdisciplinary research by its involvement in the P-30 Cincinnati Core Center grant. Edward H. Giannini, MSc, DrPH is the Associate Director of that Multidisciplinary Clinical Research Center (MCRC), and facilitates the effective and efficient usage of the cores that constitute the center. Promotion of interdisciplinary work comes from the interplay that takes place among investigators using various cores, many of which are working in the same area of biomedical science.
