Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) Overview
The Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) given by Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a 16-hour course designed to provide core-level knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient. This content is presented through lectures and psychomotor skill stations. Only Registered Nurses are permitted to participate in skills and written test. Other health care professionals may audit the course.
All courses are held at the Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMS-C) Education and Simulation Center on the second floor of the Medical Education and Resource Center (MERK) on the Oak Campus of Cincinnati Children's.
It is recognized that nursing practice varies among states and countries. Nurse practice acts and institutional policies, which prescribe specific independent and interdependent nursing activities, must be considered when implementing the described treatment, interventions and evaluations for specific patients.
Use of the Human Patient Simulator is included in this course.
Registration Information / Fees
We must have a minimum of 15 participants to hold the course. Class size is limited to the first 24 participants.

ENA Member: $195.00
Non ENA Member: $230.00
Please register 60 days in advance. Program materials will not be mailed until registration fees are received.
