Overview
Since its inception in 1990, Trauma Services at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center has pursued excellence in all aspects of pediatric trauma care.
Following the guidelines prescribed by the American College of Surgeons, a comprehensive system to immediate and definitive care for the injured child was established. Trauma Services works to continually improve critical elements of trauma care, such as:

- Pre-hospital care
- Field triage
- Acute hospital care
- Rehabilitation
- Injury prevention

Trauma Services' mission is to eliminate injury as the leading cause of death and illness among children by relentlessly pursuing comprehensive injury prevention, the highest level of injury care, and the cutting-edge of injury research.
