Trauma Services at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center offers various educational options for health care professionals as well as Health Topics for parents.
Trauma Nurse Core Course
TNCC provides a standardized educational program to enhance the knowledge of nurses providing care to trauma patients. The course provides core-level knowledge using cognitive and psychomotor skills based on the six-phase trauma nursing process. Registration is open to all registered nurses and paramedics. Advanced Trauma Life Support
ATLS is based on well-established principles and objectives of trauma management. The course is intended to provide participants with one acceptable method of safe, immediate management and the basic knowledge necessary to assess the patient's condition rapidly, stabilize and assure that optimum care is provided.
