Bio
While studying computer science as an undergraduate at the University of Cincinnati, Bill Barnett was asked to develop a web-based attendance tracking application for the Pediatric Residency Program at Cincinnati Children's (http://attrac.cchmc.org/). The success of this application led to his hiring as a Systems Analyst in the Division of Biomedical Informatics, where he currently develops web-based health surveillance applications and serves as administrator for the primary source code repository.
Bill is continuing his education as a graduate student in computer science at the University of Cincinnati. He also is studying Spanish, his third language after English and French. Before joining Cincinnati Children's, he spent 17 years in the technical operations division of Delta Air Lines, working primarily as an aircraft mechanic. He also served four years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps and two years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. When not working, studying or experimenting on his home network, Bill enjoys playing ice hockey and traveling.
