Melissa Foti-Hoff, PsyD, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, is the Coordinator of Community Consultation at The Kelly O'Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
In July 2003, Dr. Foti-Hoff joined The Kelly O'Leary Center to provide community consultation, severe behavior treatment, and psychological evaluation of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Currently, Dr. Foti-Hoff leads the multidisciplinary community consultation program which provides education and training to community professionals who serve children with ASD.
Dr. Foti-Hoff received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in children and adolescents from Xavier University. She has a broad background in individual, group and family treatment as well as psychological evaluation of children and families. Dr. Foti-Hoff began working with children diagnosed in the autism spectrum during her graduate studies. She furthered this training during her internship year as an O'Grady Resident in Pediatric Psychology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Foti-Hoff has conducted research related to parents' illness beliefs and treatment choices for children with ASD. Additional interests include families' experience during the diagnostic process and school-based consultation for children with ASD.
