Robin Lambert, RN, has been with Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center since 1977 and has been charge nurse for the Social and Medical (SAM) Clinic since 1988.
At the SAM clinic, Robin is involved with physical examinations of children who are alleged to be victims of abuse. She meets with children and families to make sure they know why they are at the clinic and explain what will happen there. Besides providing assistance to the examining physician, she also provides reassurance and support to the child to make the experience less traumatic. Her role also includes participating in weekly meetings of the Child Abuse Team.
