Research
Interested in innate immunity of the skin with a particular focus on epidermal biomarkers and antimicrobial peptides on the skin surface. Currently involved in analyzing pro-inflammatory cytokines, growth factors and hormones from the skin surface using a single D-squame tape and the LincoPlex cytokine MAP technology in collaboration with Proctor and Gamble.
Principal investigator for the Cincinnati center of the 16 center NICHD Neonatal Research Network for the following ongoing clinical trials.
- The Surfactant Positive Airway Pressure and Pulse Oximetry Trial in ELBW infants. (SUPPORT Trial)
- Pilot study for the Oxygenation Trial in ELBW Infants.
