Bio
William I. Sirbu, PhD, has practiced as a clinical psychologist since 1978,
following his completion of his Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology at DePaul
University.
Dr. Sirbu provided psychology services through community mental health
centers and in a private practice from 1979 to 1996. His experience ranges
across all age groups, from children to geriatric populations, as he has worked
in the service fields of clinical psychology, chemical dependency, employee
assistance programs, forensic and geriatric psychology.
Dr. Sirbu joined Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in August,
1995 at the opening of the Outpatient Services Eastgate satellite. While there,
he helped with the formulation and implementation of the Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Clinic. Through this clinic, parents became able
to have their child assessed and begin treatment interventions in an expedient,
cost-efficient manner.
Dr. Sirbu also provided administrative leadership at Outpatient Services --
Eastgate. When Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center opened its new
Outpatient Services -- Fairfield Services in April 1998, he moved there to
provide psychology services and serve as the coordinator of Satellite Psychology
Services for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
