Each year, the Child Abuse Team at the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center treats more than 1,000 children in whom abuse is suspected. This reflects a dramatic increase in the number of cases since the team's founding in 1975.
Over time, the team's role has expanded. Today, families, social service and law enforcement agencies, health care professionals, family advocates, educators and others throughout the tristate turn to the team for treatment, support and consultation. The team is available 24 hours a day for consultation with community physicians on any case of concern.

If you suspect a child within the Greater Cincinnati area is being abused, please contact the child's physician or call 513-241-KIDS. Physicians are required by state law to report suspected physical abuse or neglect to the legally mandated agency in their community.
