2nd Annual Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Symposium
Hosted by the Heart Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the 2nd Annual Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Symposium is a 1.5 day course designed for pediatric cardiologists, neurologists, psychologists, developmental pediatricians and other neurodevelopmental team professionals. The symposium will explore:
- Leadership perspectives on making cardiac neurodevelopmental follow-up clinics a reality
- Leveraging care provider partnerships within the medical home to maximize the impact of cardiac neurodevelopmental follow-up clinics
- Utilizing school liaison/educational advocates in cardiac neurodevelopmental follow-up clinics
- Psychosocial outcomes and interventions in congenital heart disease survivors and their families
- The impact of genetic disorders and syndromes on neurodevelopmental outcome
- The impact of nutrition and growth on neurodevelopmental outcome
- Neurological evaluation in the congenital heart disease patient

Call for Abstracts & Works-in-Progress
Cincinnati Children's invites all health professionals to submit an abstract or work-in-progress for a poster presentation to be held during the conference. Submission deadline is April 1, 2013. Please download abstract/work-in-progress guidelines and submission form here.

Physician: Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
Dietitian: Application has been made for Continuing Professional Education through the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association.
Nursing: Contact hours will be awarded to nurses who attend the entire program and complete an evaluation tool.
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (OH-046/9-1-15) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Occupational and Physical Therapy: Application has been made for approval of this course for continuing education by the Occupational Therapy Section of the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers board.
