A 127-page photo history book celebrating the 125th anniversary of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will be published in November by Arcadia Publishing, as part of the popular Images of America series.
With 195 pictures from the medical center’s photo archives, the book tells the story of growth and innovation at Cincinnati Children’s from 1883 to 2008. A committee of long-time employees, leaders and history enthusiasts selected the photos.
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center will be on bookstands Nov. 3 and will cost $21.99.
The hospital Gift Shop is accepting orders in advance. You can download an order form in portable document format (.pdf), or call the Gift Shop at 636-4310. For those unable to pick up the book in person, the Gift Shop will mail copies via internal mail or will ship to an external address ($6.50 for postage). Purchases made through the Gift Shop benefit Cincinnati Children’s.
The book also will be sold at bookstores across Cincinnati. To launch the book in the community, Joseph Beth Booksellers is hosting a panel discussion Nov. 6, 2008, at 7 pm.
