Welcome Center

If you need help during your visit, please stop at a Welcome Center. The Welcome Center representative can help you find your way, give you information about services within Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, validate parking tickets and more. Our Welcome Centers are located near the main entrance to Location A, Location B and Location C.

Registration

To make registration as efficient as possible, please be sure to bring:

  • Your insurance or medical card and your child's social security number
  • Claim forms your insurance company requires
  • Completed physical exam form, if received one from your doctor
  • Proof of guardianship (for court-appointed guardians)

Registration for Admission

If your child is being admitted, please go to the Admitting Department to register, located at Location A, first floor.

Registration for Surgery Before Admission

If your child is having surgery before being admitted, please go directly to Same Day Surgery to register, located at Location B, third floor.

If your child has recently been exposed to any contagious disease (such as chicken pox) or has a fever, bad cold, rash or fever blisters, please call your doctor before you come to the hospital. Admission may have to wait until your child is feeling better.

Information Guide in Your Child's Room

You'll find a helpful Information Guide in your hospital room or nearby on the unit. Refer to this guide for information about accommodations, your health care team, hospital resources for families, billing and financial assistance and other topics of importance during your hospital stay.

For Out-of-Town Families

Many families travel from outside the Greater Cincinnati area for health care at Cincinnati Children's. Guest Services assists out-of-town families with information about lodging, transportation, discounts and other services.

Interpreter Services

Families who do not speak English as their primary language are entitled to interpreter services free of charge. To arrange for a language interpreter, please call Interpreter Services at 1-800-344-2462.

Service Animals

Anyone accompanied by a service animal may bring the animal into all areas of the hospital except those that require special precautions, such as wearing a mask, gown or gloves. For more information, talk to your nurse.
