Summer Camps for Children with Disabilities

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides information on different camps for children with disabilities:

  • Camp Stepping Stones. Week-long day camps at Day Camp Stepping Stones in Indian Hill, Ohio and Camp Allyn in Batavia, Ohio. Residential camps also at Camp Allyn in Batavia, Ohio.

  • Camp KYSOC, Carrollton, Kentucky. Various sessions for children with physical and developmental challenges, learning and behavior disorders, and multiple disabilities.

    • June 15-20, 2008, Physical and Developmental Youth. Ages: 6-18. Cost: $735.
    • June 29- July 3, 2008, One to One. Ages 6- adult. Cost: $1,125.
    • July 6-11, 2008, Developmental Youth 2. Ages 6-18. Cost: $735.
    • July 6-11, 2008, Behavioral Disorders. Ages 6-13. Cost: $735.
    • July 20-25 and July 27- Aug 1, 2008, Operation Purple (for military children). Ages 7-14. Cost: FREE.
  • Rotary Camp (overnight camp), Akron, Ohio. Contact: Michelle Cahoon, michellec@akronymca.org or 330-644-4512.
    Cost: $350 per week per camper. Can bill agency for payment. Ages: 6-17.
