Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
The Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Support Group at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center welcomes families and caregivers whom have lost a child to SIDS. Affiliated with Cincinnati Children's for more than 25 years, the group offers support from volunteers and can refer families to professional counselors if necessary. The SIDS support meets on the second Tuesday of each month on an as needed basis in the Location D.
The SIDS Support Group is part of the Greater Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky branch of the SID Network of Ohio. The group provides support group facilitators and SIDS parents whom provide counseling and current information concerning SIDS. In addition to bereavement support the group also sponsors educational events which address SIDS, as well as fundraising activities.
